Amy Haag and David Vrbas, both of Grand Island, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. Parents of the couple are Janet Haag of McCook, Tom Haag of Indianola and Jerry and Tami Vrbas of Palisade. Grandparents of the couple are Cy and Bev Haag of McCook, George and Edna Koscielak of Des Moines, Iowa, Elaine Peterson of Palisade and Don and Mary Lou Vrbas of Culbertson. The bride-to-be is a 1996 graduate of Republican Valley High School in Indianola and a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a bachelor's degree in communication disorders and a masters degree in speech-language pathology. She is a speech and language pathologist with Central Nebraska Support Service Program of Grand Island. The prospective bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Wauneta-Palisade High School in Wauneta and attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney, majoring in journalism and mass communications. He is a classified advertising sales executive with Grand Island Independent. The couple is planning a July 5, 2003, ceremony at United Methodist Church in Palisade.
