Summer ceremony unites couple

CAMBRIDGE -- Donna Hjort and Scott Kentfield were united in marriage Aug. 11, 2001, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Cambridge. The Rev. Art Phillips presided over the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Doris Fletcher of Cambridge and the late Don Fletcher, and Lawerence and Ruth Kentfield of Wilsonville.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her brother, Jim Fletcher of Gibbon. She wore a satin, white, short sleeve, western-style 3/4 length dress with lace around the collar. It had roses inlaid in the material.

The maid of honor was Karen Capps of McCook, and serving as the bridesmaid was Kelly Reifeiss of Leeton, Mo. They wore floor length, cranberry colored dresses.

The flower girl was Makenri Richards of Cheyenne, Wyo. Her lacy white dress had cranberry flowers on the front.

The best man was Larry Hillman of Norton, Kan., and serving as bridegroomsman was Donny Hjort of Kearney, son of the bride. The ring bearer was Alexander Hjort of Cambridge, grandson of the bride.

Ushers for the ceremony were Jason Richards of Cheyenne, and Matthew Hjort of Cambridge, sons of the bride.

The men in the wedding party all wore white shirts with cranberry colored, western style vests, and black pants.

The vocalists for the ceremony were Michelle Kentfield of Hutchinson, Kan., sister of the bridegroom, Nathan Phillips of Cambridge, and Tara Reifeiss of Leeton, Mo. The pianist was Jackie Johnson of Cambridge.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Cambridge Community Center. The couple is making their home in Cambridge and Wilsonville.
