Double-ring ceremony unites couple

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa -- Stacee Wieser of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Duncan Patterson of Bellevue were united in marriage on Sept. 22, 2001, at the Queen of Apostles Church in Council Bluffs with the Rev. Tom Crowley officiating the double ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Don and Connie Wieser of McCook, and Linda Patterson of Bellevue and the late Ken Patterson. Grandparents include Stanley Krueger of Sidney and the late Marcella Krueger, and Janet Bryant of Bradford, Pa., and the late Ed Bryant.

Serving as maid of honor was Shelby Wieser of McCook sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Melanie Plautz of Lincoln, Lori Richardson of Bellevue, sister of the bridegroom, and Diana Henderson of Omaha.

The flower girl for the ceremony was McKena Duffek of Council Bluffs.

Serving as best man was Kenny Patterson of Bellevue, brother of the bridegroom. Bridegroomsmen were Randy Patterson of Bellevue, brother of the bridegroom, Allen Richardson of Bellevue, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Riley Wieser of McCook, brother of the bride.

The ring bearer for the ceremony was Shae Patterson of Council Bluffs, son of the bridal couple.

Ushering the guests were Bryan Bott of Newton, Kan., and Kyle Keifer of Omaha.

Musical accompaniment for the ceremony was provided by K.C. Eckhardt of McCook on the organ, and Stephanie Patterson of Bellevue, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, as vocalist.

The guest book attendant was Sheri McMullen of Shenandoah, Iowa. Gift attendants were Kelly Koos and Andrea Keifer of Omaha.

Wedding assistants were Kelsie Sather of Aberdeen, S.D., and Heidi Whitten of Omaha.

A reception at the Ameristar Casino in Council Bluffs followed the ceremony.

The couple is making their home in Council Bluffs. The bride received her bachelor of science degree in accounting from Peru State College, and is employed as a senior staff accountant at the Omaha World-Herald. The bridegroom received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Peru State College and is employed as a lab technician for MVP Laboratories in Ralston.
