Berry and Weimer united in September ceremony

Rebecca Berry and Thomas Wiemers, both of McCook, were united in marriage on Sept. 1, 2001, at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook. The Rev. Dr. Jeffery Thurman officiated the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Steve and Chris Berry, and Gary and Barb Wiemers, all of McCook. Grandparents are Dale and Wynnie Workman of McCook, Mary Bradney of Benkelman, and the late Dean Bradney.

The maid of honor was Jennifer Berry of McCook, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Angela Unger, Jessica Burns, both formerly of McCook, Rachel Sobota of Omaha, and Amanda Dvorak of Blair. The junior bridesmaid was Bethany Randel of Lexington, niece of the bridegroom. The miniature bride was Lindy Randel of Lexington, niece of the bridegroom.

The bride's personal attendant was Maureen Carlomagno of Winston-Salem, N.C.

The flower girl was Ashlyn Wiess of Benkelman, cousin of the bride.

The best man was Matt Wiemers of McCook, brother of the bridegroom. Bridegroomsmen were T.J. Wiemers of Beatrice, brother of the bridegroom, Ryan Vlasin, Brian Cochran and Adam Helmbrecht. The junior bridegroomsman was Eric Rippen of Culbertson, nephew of the bridegroom. The miniature bridegroom was Matthew Wiemers of McCook, nephew of the bridegroom.

The ring bearer was Sammy Bradney of North Platte, cousin of the bridegroom.

Candlelighters were Darren Berry of McCook, cousin of the bride, and Garrett Rippen of Culbertson, nephew of the bridegroom.

Ushering guests were Jerry Rippen of Culbertson, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Neal Randel of Lexington, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Mark Randle of Lexington, nephew of the bridegroom, John Berry of McCook, cousin of the bride, Bill Berry of McCook, cousin of the bride, and Shane Bradney of Benkelman, cousin of the bride. Music for the ceremony was provided by Pat Ewert, formerly of McCook, on the organ, and Amanda Dvorak of Blair, soloist. A reception at D's Place in McCook followed the ceremony. Host couples were Butch and Mary Jane Mires, Randy and Pam Messinger, and Dave and Pat Unger, all of McCook.

Attending the guest book were Amy Randel of Lexington, and Sara Rippen of Culbertson, sisters of the bridegroom.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of McCook Senior High School, and is a senior at Dana College in Blair majoring in social work.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of MSHS, and is employed at H & H Chevrolet in Omaha. The couple is making their home in Omaha.
