Johnne Jacobs and Bert Maxfield, both of Colby, Kan., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. Parents of the couple are Louise and Velinda Jacobs of Sublette, Kan., and Jim and Connie Maxfield of Wauneta. Grandparents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Louis Jacobs Sr. of Gorham, Kan., Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wyatt of Bolivar, Mo., and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Maxfield of Wauneta. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Sublette High School and will graduate in May from Colby Community College in Colby. The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Wauneta-Palisade High School, World Wide College of Autioneering in Mason City, Iowa and Colby Community College. Both are employed in Colby. The couple is planning a June 15, 2002, ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colby.
