Brenda Burkey and Matt Manteufel, both of Kansas City, Mo., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. Parents of the couple are Jonathan and Patricia Burkey of McCook and Thomas and Berdeen Manteufel of Saint Louis, Mo. The bride-to-be is a 1994 graduate of Grant High School and a 1998 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She is employed as a financial analyst at State Street Bank in Kansas City. The prospective bridegroom is a 1992 graduate of University High School in St. Louis and a 1996 graduate of the University of Iowa. He is also employed at State Street Bank as an account manager. A June 1, 2002 ceremony is planned in Overland Park, Kan.
