Spring ceremony unites Ogg, Shaw

HASTINGS -- Rylee June Ogg and Jeremy Allen Shaw, both of McCook, were united in marriage on April 27, 2002, at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Hastings with the Rev. James Meysenburg officiating.

Parents of the couple are Sid and Teresa Peterson of Bushnell and Eugene and Linda Shaw of Hastings.

Grandparents of the couple are Loretta Pilakowski of North Platte, John and Darlene Kruse of Lexington and Fran Soucie of Lexington.

Lindsay Kammann of Omaha served as the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Jodi Bunting of Omaha, Carrie Johnson of McCook, Cherie Maline of Omaha and Toni Ogg of Imperial, sister-in-law of the bride. The bride's personal attendants were Laura Anderson and April Adams.

The best man was Rodney Shaw of Lincoln, cousin of the bridegroom. The bridegroomsmen were Matt Gimple of Hastings, Jared Bunting of Lincoln, Brian Alloway of Hastings and Jason Todd of Ravenna.

The flower girl was Christa Adams of Hastings and Jordan Riley of Minden, cousin of the bridegroom, served as the ring bearer.

Ushers for the ceremony were Jason Shaw of Hastings, brother of the bridegroom, Elton Ogg of Imperial, brother of the bride, Chad Urwin of Lincoln, Aaron Peterson of McCook and Jessi Johnson of Hastings.

Ralph Southern of Hastings was the organist. The soloists were Robin Stroot and Christine Cottam, both of Hastings. Cottam was also the flutist for the ceremony.

The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hastings. Host couples were Doug and Julie Karre of McCook and Jack and Joan Nienaber of Hastings. The guestbook attendants were Christine Shaw of Raleigh, N.C., cousin of the bridegroom, and Angie Peterson of McCook. Cake servers were Sarah Riley, cousin of the bridegroom and Brenda McKimmey.

The couple honeymooned at Disney World in Florida and then took a Disney cruise to the Bahamas.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Chase County High School in Imperial and a 1999 graduate of McCook Community College with a degree in business administration. She is employed at Farm Credit Services of America in McCook as a customer service coordinator.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of St. Cecilia's High School in Hastings and a 1998 graduate of Central Community College in Hastings with an associates of applied science degree in architectural drafting. He is employed with W Design Associated in McCook as an architectural/engineering technician.

The couple is making their home in McCook.
