July ceremony united couple

KEARNEY -- Vanessa Hodson and Jason Berry, both of Kearney, were united in marriage on July 27, 2002, at First Baptist Church in Kearney with the Rev. Stan Murdoch officiating.

Parents of the couple are Scott and Carol Hodson of Kearney and Marlon and Vivian Berry of Imperial.

Grandparents of the couple are Maxine and Porter Ross of McCook, Mary Lemman of Oberlin, Don and Karen Hodson of Colby, Nina Berry of Imperial and Jim and Jackie Moore of Bartley.

Matrons of honor were Maleah Hodson and Heather Whaley of Kearney. Bridesmaids were Kelly Kenyon, Ashlee Rawlings, both of Kearney; Kate Neuhaus of Lincoln and Kaley Sholes of Fargo, N.D.

The best man was Kevin Berry of Laramie, Wyo. The bridegroomsmen were Jeff Ellis, Troy Tracey, both of Kearney; Andy Norman, Pete Arterburn, both of Lincoln and Mike Smith of Omaha.

Kelsea Geschwenter of Colby, Kan., served as the flower girl. William Fredrick of Minden served as the ring bearer.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Kearney High School. She is attending nursing school and is employed with St. Lukes Nursing Home.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Chase County High School and is attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He is employed at The Buckle warehouse and Grandpa's Steakhouse.

The couple is making their home in Kearney.
