"UNK is excited to deliver these courses to McCook, because it allows students to stay close to home," said Gloria Vavricka, associate dean of continuing education. "These courses are designed for the working adult who has professional or personal commitments and is unable to attend classes during the day or on the UNK campus. UNK will provide the delivery of the upper division courses, allowing the students to take the lower division courses from their local community college. Up to 66 credit hours may be transferred in from a community college."

The new 2+2 criminal justic program from UNK will serve the needs of professionals in Nebraska by allowing them to conveniently complete a degree in criminal justice. The students will attend class only one night a week and take a second course through the Web, yet earn six credit hours per semester," said Dr. Josheph Carlson Jr., chair of the Department of Criminal Justice.

"In its continued commitment to serve the region, UNK's business management degree program will be offered in two phases in McCook," said Steve Amundson, off-campus business adviser. "In Phase II, as technology improves, students may complete their upper division business courses by Interactive Video at a McCook site. Until then, McCook students are always welcome at the North Platte site."

The degrees are being offered by the Department of Criminal Justice and the Department of Management, through the UNK Division of Continuing Education.
