INDIANOLA -- Owners of the Indianola restaurant that creates the icon Rocket Inn pizza have turned over responsibilities to new managers.

Carol Blackman and Dave Fjelseth of Indianola turned over management of the Rocket to Ali Sevier and Scott Kacsh of Evergreen, Colo., in June. Ali and Scott, who are engaged, plan to keep "pizza nights" the same -- Wednesday, Friday and Saturday -- and will add new features.

Scott and Ali plan a Tuesday fish fry, and all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinners and steak specials on Thursday and Saturday.

Scott said they have also plan an extensive new lunch menu, new desserts, appetizers and "Happy Hour." A larger wait staff has been added.

Future plans include a Sunday brunch, Italian food, speciality drinks and catering services.

Ali has managed pizza chains and hotels in Portland, Ore., and Scott has managed restaurants and nightclubs in the Denver area for 14 years. The couple met when Kevin managed the kitchen at the Rocket Inn from 1998 until 2000, and Ali was visiting her grandparents, Bob and Florence Hedges of Indianola and Dwayne and Joyce Sevier of McCook.

Scott and Ali have a six-month-old baby, Marty.
