Community Chorus sets rehearsal schedule

McCook Community Chorus invites area singers to join them for their Classic Choral Christmas 2002, featuring choral master-works from Bach up through the 20th century. One of the group's directors, Jon Wacker, says "This year's concert will be "doubly" exciting because the group will combine forces with the Imperial Community Chorus. This will give us a much larger choir than we have had, and will allow us to perform choral music appropriate for that size of group. We are really excited about working with the singers from Imperial."

The McCook concert will be Sunday, Dec.2, 4 p.m., and the concert will be repeated Dec. 9 in Imperial. Evie Caldwell and Jon Wacker will conduct the group.

The first rehearsal for this Christmas concert is Sunday, Sept.8 at 1:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of Memorial Methodist Church in McCook.

All singers are invited to come to the rehearsal and join the group for this concert. There is no charge and music is provided.
