IMPERIAL -- Nebraska State Patrol officers issued tickets to 30 minors for possession of alcohol Friday and Saturday evenings during the Chase County fair in Imperial.

State Patrol Sgt. Ted Mashek said most of those MIP citations were issued to under-aged drinkers in the parking lots at the county fair. Mashek said officers also ticketed five adults for procuring liquor for minors, four of whom were on the fairgrounds.

Officers also issued eight citations for having open containers of alcohol in vehicles, and with the aid of an airplane, they wrote 60 moving and speeding citations.

Mashek said the citations would be delivered to the Chase County attorney's office this week.

Mashek said officers were pleased there were no major accidents or disturbances during the fair.
