A wild weekend

Participants in the the primitive camping/cooking session at the Women's Wilderness Weekend at South Central 4-H Camp near Republican City (Harlan County Lake) enjoy a modern day break with a can of pop. The event drew 140 women from around Nebrsaka. The 3 day event features a number of 4 hour session going on at a time. The particpants can choose to take part in anything form canoeing to boating to shooting shotguns/rifles/bows to dutch oven cooking to bird watching. Women's Wilderness Weekend is hosted by Trailblazer RC&D with assistance from Southwest RC&D. Major sponsors included Cabela's, Safari Club International and a host of local volunteers who serve as instructors and donate the use of equipment.
