In Red Willow District Court Tuesday, a McCook man was sentenced to 7-10 years with the Department of Corrections.
Trevor M. Gray, 22, was sentenced to 7-10 years for attempted first degree sexual assault. Credit was granted for two days served.
Gray pleaded not guilty to the original charges of first degree sexual assault, a Class II felony when he was arraigned in April 2002.
According to police records, Gray was involved in a March 30, 2002 incident at his home in McCook. A 21-year-old Cozad woman reportedly stayed at Gray's house after other friends had left following a party.
Gray allegedly raped the woman once the two were alone.
