FAIR plans 'Respite Day' on Dec. 14 for long-term caregivers

Wednesday, November 20, 2002

Families Accessing Innovative Resources -- FAIR -- has announced the first-ever "Respite Day" in Southwest Nebraska.

If you are a caregiver for someone with a long-term or lifelong physical or psychological challenge, you are invited to take Saturday, Dec. 14, off.

On this day, FAIR's Respite Days program will pay for a respite provider for your loved one so you can take a break.

The agency has many individual providers and agencies willing to take care of your family member, or you may choose your own (they must pass a background check, which FAIR will provide).

To register, call Mary or Melba at (308) 345-2609 or (866) RESPITE and ask to sign up.
