Ex-student appears on assault charges

Former McCook Community College student, Charles J. Hill, pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual assault.

Hill, 22, a former resident of Brooks Hall Dormitory, was arraigned in Red Willow County District Court Dec. 11 on two Class II felony charges of rape.

After pleading not guilty, his hearing was set for Jan. 17, 2003, at 9 a.m.

He was allegedly involved in a Sept. 18, 2002, and a Nov. 12, 2002, incident where two women were raped.

One of the incidents allegedly happened in the college dorms.

Hill was arrested on rape charges Nov. 20, by the McCook Police Department and he was released on a $25,000 bond.
