(Clockwise, from upper left) Firefighter/paramedic Bob Allen (left) and McCook Police Officer and D.A.R.E. instructor Jerry Calvin pass out fire prevention and drug abuse education information -- and candy -- to Marisa (left) and Hailey Esch. Kacee (right) and Kaylee Samway visit with Dakota, the family pet and mascot for Gaston Lawns and Landscapes and Pet Pros of McCook. The girls are the daughters of Angie and Darrin Samway of McCook. M.J. Dempewolf of Norcatur (left) and Tawni Davis of Oberlin sell raffle tickets for McCook's Untouchables 14-and-under traveling softball team. The team plans to play 52 games and seven tournaments this summer. Booths selling everything from bank services to bathtubs attracted about 4,700 people to the McCook Chamber of Commerce's annual home show Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Chamber Director Marie Owen said she and the vendors were very pleased with the turnout, calling the home show, "a huge success." Owen said she is "forever grateful" to the volunteers who helped with three-day event.
