Habitat for Humanity ready to build first house

Southwest Nebraska Habitat For Humanity is ready to build its first house in McCook. A family of five has been selected and a four bedroom house is planned.

The Construction Committee would like to invite area contractors and interested people to an informational meeting on Habitat for Humanity and the house they plan to build.

The meeting will be Thursday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the 4-H Building on the Red Willow County Fairgrounds.

Topics of discussion will include:

- Philosophy of Habitat for Humanity

- The house

- The building schedule

- Possible roles you can play in the construction
