LINCOLN -- Mabel Lena "Pingetzer" Scott, 78, died Wednesday (May 14, 2003) at the Lancaster Nursing Home in Lincoln where she had been living for the past year.
She was born July 17, 1924, to Calvin Eugene and Charlotte Ruth (Creek) Roblyer in Cass County.
In December of 1948, she married Matt Pingetzer. They lived on a farm near Traer until 1953. He preceded her in death in 1972.
She married Marvin Scott in 1985 in McCook. He preceded her in death in 1987.
She lived most of her life in the McCook community where she worked as a cook during the 1960's to 1970's for Modrel's Restaurant and Big Burger. She also worked for Amy's and Lucky Eleven. She retired from TRW in 1982.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and two brothers, Steve Jacques and Leo Roblyer.
Survivors include her son, Mike Pingetzer of Lincoln; two sisters, Edith and husband, Mike Labenz, of Lincoln and Ramona and husband, Virgil Brunswick, of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Ivan and wife, Theresa Roblyer of Lincoln; and two granddaughters.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 2 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Chapel with John Bingham officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be today until 8 p.m.
Memorials may be given in her name.
