RIDGECREST, Calif. -- N. Christine Moore, 82, died Sunday (May 18, 2003) at her home in Ridgecrest, Calif.
She was born May 26, 1920, in Beaver City, to Clarence and Rose Anna (Minniear) Axtell. She grew up at Danbury where she graduated from Danbury High School in 1938. She received her associate of arts degree from McCook Junior College in 1940.
On Dec. 31, 1941, she married George V. Moore Jr. at McCook. They resided in McCook until 1950, when they moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., where she was a sales associate with the J.C. Penney Company until retiring in 1986. She moved to Ridgecrest in September of 1995.
She was a member of WACOM in California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, George on March 20, 1978.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Moore and wife, Mary of Billings, Mont., and Dennis Moore and wife, Ruth of Ridgecrest; one sister, Edith Clary of McCook; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Saturday, 2 p.m., at the Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with the Rev. Fred Sevier officiating. Inurnment will be in the Danbury and Marion Cemetery at Danbury.
Memorials may be given in her name and left at the funeral home.
