HUMBOLDT, Kan. -- Lyle E. Dunham, 62, died Thursday (May 22, 2003) at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan.
He was born April 11, 1941, to Clyde Dunham and Mabel (Wickizer) Dunham. He worked for many years as a truck driver for firms in Nebraska, Missouri, Texas and Kansas. He most recently owned the L&T Bait and Tackle in Humboldt, Kan. Until his health started failing, he had been restoring the Odd Fellows Club building for the Historical Society in Humboldt.
He was a member of the Tired and Retired Pool Team in the Three Rivers League.
He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Joe Dunham; and one grandchild.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Hill of the home; three daughters, Debra Hedgcorth of Linden, Mo., Carol Hines of Oronogo, Mo., and Christel Love of McCune, Kan.; three sons, Terry Dunham and Jack Dunham of Carthage, Mo., and Greg Hill of Humboldt; his mother, Mabel Peppler of McCook; one sister, Marilyn McIver of Sublette, Kan.; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday (May 24, 2003) at the Johnson-Kunkel Chapel in Humboldt with the Rev. Don Flanner officiating. Burial was at Mount Hope Cemetery at Humboldt.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Johnson Mortuary of Humboldt.
