She was born Sept. 2, 1918, in Red Willow County, to George Edward and Dorothy (Doyle) Cain.
On Oct. 3, 1936, she married Kenneth Hockman in Oberlin. She was a homemaker and a founding member of the Berean Fundamental Church in McCook in 1952. She moved to Jones County in 1991, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Kenneth in 1990; a son, Doyle George Hockman; and a brother, Daniel Willard Cain.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Hockman and wife, Carolyn of Anson and Russell Hockman and wife, Patricia of Monroe, Ga; one daughter, Barbara and husband, Delbert Crouse of Lusk, Wyo.; one sister, Lois Jean Cain of McCook; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were today at Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Anson, with the Rev. Bill Dickson officiating.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, 2 p.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook with the Rev. James Denny officiating.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of local arrangements.
