LONGMONT, Colo. -- Darlene M. Grotelueschen, 64, died Tuesday (June 17, 2003) at the Longmont United Hospital in Longmont, Colo.
She was born May 8, 1939, in Herndon, to Ernest and Frieda (Klawonn) Allacher.
On July 19, 1959, she married Donald Grotelueschen in Herndon. They lived in Columbus for a time and moved to Longmont in 1984. She was a work coordinator for U.S. Bank in Longmont for 19 years.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Longmont.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; and two brothers, David and Donald Allacher.
Survivors include a son, Deron Grotelueschen and wife, Annette of Greeley, Colo.; a daughter, Danette and husband, Richard Wilson of Kansas City, Mo.; three brothers, Duane Allacher of Aurora, Colo., Dennis Allacher and wife, Fran of McCook and Dale Allacher and wife, Alice of Herndon; two sisters, Deanna Allacher of McCook and Doris and husband, Robert Schanel of Stockton, Kan.; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Longmont with the Rev. Paul Ziegler officiating.
Memorials may be given in her name to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry Street, of Longmont is in charge of arrangements.
