McDONALD -- J. Marion Hallagin, 88, died Thursday (July 3, 2003) at the Good Samaritan Center in Atwood.
He was born May 8, 1915, in Cheyenne County to Lee and Bertha (Banister) Hallagin.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Rawlins County, a farmer, harvester and bus driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Arnold; six brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Marie of McDonald; two daughters, Jo Jones of Brush, Colo., and Jann Gillespie of Goodland, Kan.; two sisters, Ruby Waddell of Englewood, Colo., and Goldie Nyggard of Sterling, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, 2 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Atwood. Burial was at Grace Cemetery of McDonald.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Lions Club of McDonald.
Williams Funeral Home of Atwood is in charge of arrangements.
