Genevieve Janrose Terry
TRENTON -- Genevieve Janrose Terry, 87, died Saturday (July 12, 2003) at El Dorado Manor in Trenton.
She was born February 6, 1916, to Belmont and Tillie (Benson) Chapman in Denver, Colo. She grew up in Denver, and graduated from North High School in 1934. She married Henry William North and they resided in Denver and Leadville, Colo., before returning to Denver. She worked as a telephone operator for 39 years with Mountain Bell which became U.S. West. Her husband preceded her in death in 1973. In 1986, she purchased a home in Culbertson.
On June 25, 1991, she married Gail L. Terry in Trenton, and they spent their lives in Culbertson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gail, in 1998. She has resided at El Dorado Manor since May 2000.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands Henry and Gail.
Survivors include two nieces; Shirlie Lieber and fiance, George Baribeau of Eaton Center, N.H., and Charlotte Van Horn and husband, Jerry of Fort Collins, Colo., and several other nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at the Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with Rev. Fred Sevier officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday at Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver.
