Josie Fay Haussler

ARAPAHOE -- Josie Fay Haussler, 91, died Sunday (July 13, 2003) at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge.

She was born May 2, 1912, to David and Emma (Richardson) Cross in Edison. She attended Edison Public Schools.

On May 4, 1930, she married Otto George Haussler at St. Matthews Church in Holbrook. In 1932, she was confirmed at St. Matthews. The couple made their home on a farm north of Holbrook. They farmed for 60 years before retiring and moving to Arapahoe.

She was a member of the St. Matthews Church and then transferred her membership to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, where she was a member of the Trinity Women's League.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Bernard Haussler; three sisters, Lula Anderson, Violet Warner and Marie Benjamin; two brothers, Arthur and infant Thomas Haussler; and one granddaughter, Audrey Haussler.

Survivors include he husband, Otto G. Haussler of Arapahoe; one daughter-in-law, Carol Haussler; and four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe with the Rev. Carl Lilienkamp officiating. Interment will be at Holbrook Cemetery in Holbrook.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe and prior to services at the church.

Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe is in charge of the arrangements.
