IMPERIAL -- Phillis Gertrude Mick, 83, died Sunday (July 13, 2003) at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home in Imperial.
She was born Sept. 15, 1919, to Foster S. and Ethel May (Humphrey) Van Dyke near Enders. She attended school in Enders.
On Oct. 13, 1934, she married Harold Eugene Mick in Osceola, Iowa. The couple made their home in Enders where she was employed at several locations before starting her career as a nurse's aid at Chase County Hospital in 1959.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold in May 1974; one daughter, Sherry; and two sisters Dorothy Sutton and Lois Ludlow.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Quinn and husband, Duane of Oxford; special friend, Wayne Sharp of Enders; five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Services are Wednesday, 2 p.m. (MST), at the Church of the Brethren in Enders with the Rev. Francis Baker officiating. Interment is in Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial.
A memorial has been established in her name.
