Helen Gertrude Grill, 91, died Saturday (July 19, 2003) at Community Hospital in McCook.
She was born March 3, 1912, to George and Goldie (Fisher) Sandrock in Enterprise, Kan. She graduated from Falls City High School and from the University of Nebraska.
On June 7, 1936, she married Carl F. Grill in Lincoln. They lived in several different communities in Nebraska and in Denver, Colo., where she taught music and raised two children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Homer and Kenneth Sandrock.
Survivors include her husband, Carl; a son, John Grill and wife, Luci, all of McCook; a daughter, Sondra Douglass and husband, Joe of Silverthorne, Colo.; a sister, Dorothy Kratz of Lincoln; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be Wednesday,7 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Chapel in McCook with Tom Volz officiating. Burial will be at the Mount Lindo Cemetery in Denver on Thursday.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesday, 9 a.m. until time of service.
Memorials may be given in her name and left at the funeral home.
