ROSEVILLE, Calif. -- Dorothy Marie Hansmeyer, 81, died Saturday (June 28, 2003) in Roseville, Calif.
She was born July 29, 1921, to Sander and Margaret (Bates) Hizel in Colorado. She and her family moved to McCook, where she grew up. She graduate from McCook High School in 1939.
On Dec. 7, 1940, she married Richard Hansmeyer at Huntington Park, Calif. The couple made their home in California and moved to Denver, Colo., in 1948 and then to Roseville where the couple resided until her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert Hizel and Tom Hizel.
Survivors include her husband, Richard of Roseville; one son, Stephen Hansmeyer and wife, Carla of Roseville and two grandchildren.
Graveside services are Saturday, 10 a.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook with the Rev. Jerel Scholl officiating.
Herrmann Funeral Home in McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
