CLOVIS, N.M. -- Nora Lee Hutchinson, 73, died Tuesday (September, 2, 2003) at her daughters home in Clovis, N.M.
She was born May 29, 1930, to Harry and Ella (Bowers) Carr in Marion, Ohio.
On May 28, 1950, she married Wilbur Hutchinson. The family moved to Benkelman in 1976.
While living in Ohio she drove the handicap bus for nine years. When she moved to Benkelman she worked as a nurses aide at the Sarah Ann Hester Home for many years. After the death of her mother in 1997, she moved to Oregon to be near her family. She raised her sister's children as her own after her sister died.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Hutchinson; parents, Harry and Ella (Bowers) Carr; three sisters, Sharon, Leona and Greta; grand daughter, Elizabeth; nephew, Millard; and step-father, Clarence Wilson.
Survivors include her son, Olen Hutchinson and wife, Becky of Hebo, Ore.; daughters, Sharon McQuigg and husband, John of Clovis, N.M., Karen Karr and husband, Dwayne Leowen of Las Vegas, Nev.; her sister's children, Linda, Penny Allen and husband, Carl, Mike and Ella and husband, Ed Shafer; one brother, Homer Carr and wife, Clove of Caledonia, Ohio; and 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Services are Saturday, 2 p.m., at Forch Funeral Home Chapel in Benkelman with the Rev. Cindi Prather officiating. Interment will follow services at the Benkelman Cemetery.
Visitation is at Forch Funeral Chapel of Benkelman Friday, 1-6 p.m. Forch Funeral Chapel of Benkelman is in charge of the arrangements.
