HARTINGTON -- LeRoy Harvey Wolfe, 75, died Saturday (Sept. 6, 2003) at his home in Hartington.
He was born Nov. 11, 1927, to Harvey and Mabel (Becker) Wolfe in Coleridge. He grew up at lived in the Coleridge area all of his life. He served in the Army from 1945-1946.
On March 26, 1951, he married Joan Marie Smith in Coleridge. He was a farmer.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the church council, he was a 4-H leader, a member of the Nebraska Pork Producers and he was an officer of the Northwest Nebraska Pork Producers and the Cedar County Pork Producers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan in 1999; and two brothers, Elmer and Oliver.
Survivors include four sons, Greg and wife, Diane Wolfe of Indianola, Terry and wife, Karen Wolfe of Norfolk, Jeff and wife, Carol Wolfe of Hartington and Tim and wife, Kim Wolfe of Richmond, Va.; four sisters, Lavina Brockman of Coleridge, Lucille Hille of Lincoln, Matilda "Tillie" VanPelt of Leesburg, Fla., and Lena and husband, Ed Baker of Auburn, Wash.; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Services are Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Coleridge with the Rev. Rollin Olesen officiating. Interment is in Lawnridge Cemetery in Coleridge.
Visitation is today, 3-5:30 p.m., at Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington and one hour prior to services at the church.
Prayer services are today, 7:30 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
