Summer art

Wednesday, June 4, 2003

Alisha Ricely (above) wraps rubber bands around a baby wipe before she colors it with markers in a class taught by Kerri Steinke. The color will produce a tie-dyed effect. Jackie Carfield (right) adds color to a wipe that she had already prepared with rubber bands. Ricely and Carfield are students in the summer workshops offered at the McCook Art Guild's Fine Arts Center. The workshops focus on different art techniques and are taught by artists from the area and state. The next workshop is June 9-11 and will also be taught by Steinke. The last workshop is June 30, July 1 and July 9, taught by Pat Schaffert.
