Nebraska Senior Amateur

Bob Hughett, Lincoln, tees off on the first hole Thursday afternoon during the first round of the Nebraska Senior Amateur. Watching Hughett's drive is defending NSA champion Tom Olson, Omaha. John Haney, Lincoln, already teed off. Hughett and Gary Bowen, Omaha, are past champions. Olson shot a 74 in the first round Thursday to take a 3-shot lead over Haney. Hughett shot an 86 and was in 11th place. The trio was the third of seven three-man groups participating in the prestigious tournament. The first 18 holes were played Thursday afternoon and the second 18 holes will be played today.
