McCook man pleads no contest on meth

Wednesday, August 13, 2003

A McCook man is scheduled for sentencing in October after pleading no contest to drug charges.

In a plea agreement with special prosecuting attorney Marie Clark of the Nebraska Attorney General's office, Scott Richard Propp pleaded no contest to possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, a Class IV felony. Charges for manufacture of a controlled substance, a Class III felony were dropped.

Propp was arrested in March following an investigation by the McCook Police Department and the Red Willow County Sheriff's office.

Red Willow District Attorney Paul Woods had excused himself from the case because of a possible appearance of conflict of interest.

Propp's sentencing is set for Oct. 10.
