Chase County Fair

Thursday, August 15, 2002

Chase County kids "bust mutton" during fair activities Wednesday in Imperial. Ashlyn Bussell of Imperial grabs a handful of wool as she exits the chute, and Caleb Bubak of Champion gets a helping hand from clown Josh McClain of Republican City. A smiling Makala Bartels of Imperial exhibits the trophy she won in the six-year-old division. Chase County fair activities continue today with a performance by Tonic Sol Fa at 4 p.m., a chore girl contest at 5 p.m. and the demolition derby at 6:30 p.m. Friday's schedule includes a pedal tractor pull at 12:30 p.m., horseshoe pitching at 1 p.m. and the "Lifehouse" performance at 8 p.m. Saturday's highlights include the classic car show at noon, cheerleading contest at 1 p.m., and the Montgomery Gentry show at 8 p.m. An antique tractor pull at 10 a.m. highlights Sunday's schedule.
