North Ward fourth grader Ross Stewart peers over the edge of his experiment, hoping it works as well at school as it did at home. North Ward fourth graders enjoyed their annual science fair Thursday, with one experiment that proved the value of McCook tap water to house plants, another that demonstrated the power of the wind and another that explained the aerodynamics of an airplane wing. Katie Seligman (below, right), and her little brother, Dalton, experimented with just the right amount of vinegar to make her "volcano" erupt, and "hippie" Alyssa Karr (below, left) dressed for her experiment, showing how a 1960s-era "Lava Lamp" works.
