Blaze UpdatePosted Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at 10:28 AM
Blaze a 8 weeks and 6 months
I found the perfect little device for helping exercise this bundle of energy. It's called a "Chuck-It", and it's little more than a device that holds a tennis ball at the end of a lever. A flip of the wrist throws the tennis ball further than you could ever throw it with a full arm throw. The garden is a problem we've discovered. That nice soft dirt is a target rich environment for Blaze' amazing digging abilities, and the wetter and muddier the better as far as he is concerned. The cats and Blaze get along pretty well surprisingly. Tiger has Blaze trained to leave her alone, Cali just loves to start a fight, and BS (Black Spot) seems to love to be harassed for some reason... I guess she likes the rough stuff. We've re-discovered that balls and stuffed ducks are the best toys a Golden Retriever could ever want. Blaze' manners are improving, and he behaves pretty well until his nose takes over or a cat teases him then all bets are off. Blaze does like to help with our war against the weeds. We pull 'em, and he scatters them all over the place. He even digs a few of his own now and then. Of course he doesn't distinguish between grass and weeds very well, but when you have mostly weeds I guess it doesn't matter anyway. All in all, I guess we'll keep him. Where Does It Go?

Why not, as it looks like you make a good couch. You might want to change Blase's name though, to 'Sir,' so you can call him by saying 'Come - Sir,' or answering his call with: 'Yes - Sir.' Your life will be so much easier, once he knows you are completely trained. Ha.
I think you may have a buddy, there.
