Just Go Do It!Posted Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at 8:19 AM
It still amazes me that politicians have to spend so much money in advertising trying to get elected. You'ld think we the people would have gotten smarter about how we go about selecting our representatives, but it seems pretty obvious to me that he with the most money usually wins. Today is election day and you NEED to go vote! You have no excuse for being lazy... I'm off to the poles right after I finish this, and I spent last night in the dentist office after my dog knocked out my front teeth, so if I get get there, so can you. Here's a thought. I plan on voting for a candidate that has spent little in advertising. If you want the guy that has spent a bundle, you better go vote because my vote might make the difference this time. I plan on voting for the person I think will actually care about their constituants instead of a representative that I believe will blindly follow their party leaders. How pathetic it is that the state only expects about 25% voter turnout for this primary and local election. The stakes have seldom been higher in my opinion. Don't bitch if you don't vote! Sadly, having the most money counts big, but promising the voter more money, and goodies, puts one over the top.
Amen!! And I vote early, by mail.
