  • Look into those eyes, full of expectation,

Dark and deep, enough to lose a Nation,

    The way that you deductulate,

You'll soon find out you err the rate.

Two years, are just to sharpen teeth,

To find great places to hide,

And grow to proportion beyond belief,

    Properly saddled, you can ride.

About age four, when you're on your knees,

Praying he would grow up or go to sleep,

He'll lay his head on your lap and sneeze,

An adult dog, you now want to keep.

AMEN as you enjoy your memories.

  • I've found in my experience with the dogs that have owed me, they have a lot of puppy in them until at least five years. So good luck with that! But as difficult as they may be, their is a reason they are known as our best friends.
