Three times I was supposed to visit Australia, two times be where Bob Hope was to give a show. I wasn't playing Baseball, but five times I couldn't go.
If you want to see a Veterans Vet, look closely at Bob Hope,
He gave the troops some sanity, as Insanity ruled the world, without much hope.
I know that when I graduate, and arrive at HOME, at the top of my long list to hug, is that unmet friend, his parents named Bob Hope.
And, Yes, on viewing, my eyes leaked for about eight minutes, of the ten, remembering those vet pals I lost, and hope to see, right along with Bob, soon after I get my Welcome Home Hug from HIM, our GOD.
AMEN
I got to see him on his I967 USO Vietnam Christmas Tour, Raqual Welch was with him and of course she was a crowd pleaser. I have always remembered one of the jokes he told. Bob said he set next to a hippy on the plane and the guy only had one shoe on, Bob ask if he had lost a shoe, the guys says no, I found one.
