I've recently noticed that there are several TV shows that have dancing as their theme. I'm not much of a fan of reality TV shows such as these, but it's obvious that dancing has found a resurgence. With that in mind, I offer the following for a historical perspective that will likely get your foot a stompin'...

To my old body, what I just saw was more a Horror Movie than a Happy Wonderment. Whew-eee, even at that young age my body refused to stretch, and flex that far, I think, as I sit here, with Ace bandages wrapping both knees; pain in more places than Einstein could count; and loving every second of the video that just reminded me I can't go back that far, but I can go that far, in the near future, to a body even far far better than that; and Y'all know where I am speaking of. Oh-Yeah.
Thank you, Brian. I was alive when every one of those snippets were filmed..(even Fred Astaire's fleet of foot).. Do you know how old you just made me feel?? Shame...Ha.
A secret, so don't tell anyone: I almost enrolled in a 'Modern Dance' class, at College, back in 72; but at age 34, the Instructor shut something in front of me, as I remember it was the door. Not really, but I chickened out....about the same thing, but a better sounding excuse, 'the door.'
