"Strike One!"
For those of you baseball fans, the playoffs are over and it's time for the World Series. When I was a kid, I got a transistor radio for my birthday one year in time to listen to the Yankees and Dodgers though that tiny earphone. The sound wasn't all that great, but I got to hear the play by play and I thought that was really something! I suppose now-a-days there is an "app" for that to go on your smart-phone. Sorry, I don't know much about that stuff as I'm falling behind in technology and still figure I don't need instant two way communications. But that's just me and I digress... Back to the title of today's blog... It turns out that Cooney and Barrows are a couple of pretty famous fellows from baseball's history. Way back in 1888, they were the first two outs of the bottom of the 9th inning in one of the most famous baseball games ever described. As the story goes, the home team was down...
