Trust Me...

Are All Parts Created Equal?
It's video day with two offerings! Be sure to read the comment at the very end of todays blog...

A few years ago, there was an ad campaign for some fast food outlet talking about their chicken sandwich if I remember correctly. The outfit paying for the ad claimed the competitions sandwich was made out of chicken "parts". I'm sure the message was that 100% chicken breast was better than one made up of chicken parts, but one line I'll always remember from that ad campaign was the little old lady saying "parts is parts".

I suppose that little old ladies statement is true to some degree. If you wreck your car, the odds of getting factory replacement parts is slim. The parts you will likely end up on your repaired vehicle are much less expensive "knockoffs", and mechanical parts for that vehicle can come from a host of different manufacturers too. So in those cases at least, parts is parts.

How about farm equipment parts? Are parts from any manufacturer okay? My source informed me that the machine in the following Youtube video is 97% made from John Deere parts. The device is on display at the University of Iowa, and took over 13,000 to construct.

It's worth watching... trust me!

Next up is a great rendition of a Christmas favorite. Perhaps you have heard of The Silent Monks, perhaps not. For those that have not, I highly recommend the following Youtube video for being funny beyond the ordinary...

And my final note, the first video above isn't really made out of JD parts, their Case/IH! Just kidding, it's a computer generated video and is available from an outfit called Animusic. And that's the truth so now you know you really can trust me.

Not only is the machine fantastic, the music well orchestrated, and it looked as if every ball was recovered after doing its function. Thanks.
