Signs Of The Times?

From todays email...

If you had purchased $1000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you will have $49.00 today.

If you had purchased $1000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you will have $33.00 today.

If you had purchased $1000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you will have $0.00 today.

But---- if you had purchased $1000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you will have received $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily and recycle.

That sounds like 'Liberty Call,' to this old salt. Yeee-Haaa! Splice the Mainbrace. A happy drunk don't see the bilges flooding, nor the ship sinking.

Stay a sleep, America, you won't miss a thing, other than that little thing called Freedom.

Many countries have gone bankrupt, over the years. We have saved many of them from destruction. Since no one can/will help us, our nation may well be the first, in history, to be foreclosed upon, and taken away from the citizens who 'think' they/we own.

There, I feel much better now. Back to the bottle.

bigsurmac, Shalom. I fear you are being a bit paranoid there my friend. No one attacked any person, Brian, nor I. We addressed what I call a sinking ship, while the crew (citizens) sleep. We all are at blame, Brian, Me, You, Everyone. For many years, we have put making a bigger buck our primary god. Well, that god just kicked us out of bed. Do we grovel on the floor, lick our bruises, and loose the whole house, or do we wake up, get up, start up, and clean up the mess we are in, no matter who contributed to the mess?

Now you sputter and spout your rhetoric about how President Bush did it all, if you desire. The 'Doozer' workers, will start rebuilding.

Thank you very much for your astute observation about something that was not there.
