  • I sometimes hope to myself that my children will share similar interests with me and never participate in anything that requires me to sit outside while I watch them. However, since I want my children to be healthy and not share my mistakes, I'll simply have to coax them into basketball. It's the only sport that is consistently played inside, at least for official games.

Yes, I do know that wrestling exists and is indoors, but unless I marry a doctor or a nutrition expert, I'd rather my children not have to worry about the strict weight restrictions wrestling demands. Also, wrestling isn't interesting without the colorful/black tights and the soap opera-esque drama and the self-damaging rock star lifestyles.

  • I attended Anna's first track meet Thursday. I should have read your blog before I went. While I did take the food and beverage, I was still in need of more blankets, wipees (a necessity), chairs and sunblock. Start the learning curve.

  • Oh,I forgot the most important item... a stop watch.

If you have a runner, you need to add a stop watch to your supplies.

How could I ever have forgotten that... LOL. My apologies to the trackers in the family.
