  • TTYL, or LOL, are those with, or without, punctuation? Bad enough the young, and some of us old, cannot spell, but now text messaging is destroying punctuation. Sheesh!

  • I am a 15 year old and i text message. I think texting is about what your comfortable with and not whats the fastest. Me myself i use abbreviations but thats just because im comfortable with it. Alot of my friends spell the whole word out and thats fine with me as long as the charge isnt for every letter like you said.

  • i'm 19 and i just started texting...well recently lol, but i have been on msn and messenger since i was about 8. I really don't see much difference between the most common instant messaging systems and text messaging. Still i am reluctant to use the abbreviations, i type the majority of the words out. The only times I use abbreviations is when i am angry, and even then it is hard to text while angry, but there are some things that you can say while texting that you just cannot say in person or over the phone.
