Five Months

Posted Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at 3:44 PM

Has it really been 5 full months since the last time I wrote a blog? My last submission was an effort to get some people of McCook behind a small movement to get the local Cinema 3 some support for converting over to 3D screens. It didn't go so well as nobody really voiced an opinion in the comments. Either nobody cares about 3D films as much as myself and my friends or nobody wanted to post about it.

Well, it's been five months and still no 3D. We are getting closer to it for those who care but still may not be done till next year which is a terrible thing as I'd hate to miss a chance of seeing the new Harry Potter in 3D right here in McCook. Oh well.

A lot has changed in 5 months and has sent me back to writing blogs again. I'm going to focus on all kinds of topics - basically whatever I'm dealing with or thinking about at the time so it will probably focus on business a lot as I spend most of my time between 3 different businesses.

This week I've been absorbed in Spotlight Studios. Spotlight is a dance company that teaches hiphop, breakdance, tumbling, ballet, jazz, fitness classes and martial arts. Today is the beginning of our second season of classes and we are extremely excited about our new teacher - Adrian Casados who has immense amounts of training and experience in teaching all of the styles of dance and gymnastics classes that we are now offering. Adrian just moved to McCook with his wife and child and I am so pleased that he choose to come to McCook. The amount of knowledge he has in the dance and gymnastic arts is a real benefit to have here at the studio for our students. If you haven't already - I encourage you to come down and meet him at the studio and welcome him to McCook! If you need anymore info about Spotlight Studios - check out our facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/spotlightstudios.

On top of getting Spotlight Studios ready, I am also swamped with Divine Productions. I just recently hired Lori Beguin who has taken over almost all of the photography duties at the studio. She is an extremely talented and experienced photographer and you can check out examples of her work on the Divine Productions facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/divineproduction.... It's that time of year where lots of Weddings are happening and Senior Pictures are going like crazy and everybody at the studio is running around trying to get it all done on time. It's a hectic season but very fun. Soon enough, we will start doing Christmas cards! Can't believe it's almost that time again!

So - I don't plan on staying away from the blogs for five months again. I hope to update you all rather frequently on what's going on and I kept this post to a minimum so I could write some more on other happenings very soon.
