Silk Shorn
By Arley Steinhour 081512
Shalom, to you, one and all,
This bright and sunny morning.
I think I'll have a good day,
It came without a warning.
Brother Mark, has just informed,
Of a microwaving trick,
To have corn on cob, in a way,
That the silk won't stick.
I haven't tried this trick quite yet,
With a problem, somewhat harder,
Baking gloves are hard to get,
Plus, no corn within my larder.
Now, I need to go to town,
To find some ear of corn,
To enjoy, this new found way,
To eat my corn, 'Silk-shorn.'
God gave us all the microwave,
For much more than warming,
Cooking candy, not my 'crave,'
Corn on Cob, more tummy charming.
AMEN
