Memorial Sales
Memorial Sales

Memorial day, Ads all say:
'Get out your check-book fast,
We have bargains on the way,
And know that they won't last.'
Nothing said, to show people died,
To keep this country free,
Bring money, not your Pride,
Or Credit-card, if need-be.
How many flags have you seen on sale,
How many wreaths, to place on graves,
How many feet walk grave-yard trail,
Seeking them who kept us from becoming slaves?
Great day for a Bar-Bee-Que,
Or High-paid Sporting Game,
Except for those who paid the due,
Their tombstone shows their name.
Memorial, means to 'Remember,'
The Brave, the Proud, the Few,
Who, January through December,
Served and Died, just for you.
The Bar-Bee-Que, worthy if you share,
The discounts, worthy too,
But bow your head, and say a prayer,
For those who died for you.
Dear God, bless those of them, etali'i,
For Serving and many loosing life,
To keep this Nation Free from enemy,
So we never suffer Slaveries strife.
AMEN
