Doorpost Indenture

With, Young trees for posts, and bamboo for Thatch,
A Home for the Saints, to conjoin Praise and Prayer,
In Fellowship, together, under roof built from Scratch,
In Song, Prayer, and WORD-Study, ‘Know-God-Is-There.’

Doorpost Indenture

Go to Togo, and you shall see,
A Church going up, from scratch,
Where all of the Saints, want to be,
Praising, in Worship, hard to match.

Look onto the Photo, its a New Home for God,
Almost Ready for Thatch, to protect from the Sun,
And, Seasonal Weather, when God Bears the Rod,
Filled to brim, with Saint’s ‘Worshiping the SON.’

I looked at the photograph, and in a Jocular Way,
Wondered, ‘Where is the Steeple, and Organ of Pipes?’
Folks in the U S A, wouldn’t set foot in the doorway,
The ‘Church,’ has no door, nor a ‘Saint, that Gripes.’

The floor, Native soil, the walls, one can see through,
The Thatch on the Roof, keeps one cool, and mostly dry,
Praise and Worship, Hearing God’s Words, so True,
Holy Ghost led, in expectation, that soon, Saints will Fly.

Flying Homeward to Jesus, beyond sky and cloud,
Of ‘First Death,’ or Together, Rescued by Rapture,
Strengthening Faith, All Heads Prayerfully Bowed,
In, ‘Choice Made Willingly,’ the ‘Doorpost Indenture.’

Picture the Red Brick, and Stain-Glass-Windows,
A Great, Bronze Door, to allow some to be ‘Infected,’
With membership, within, to be ‘Laodicean Fellows,’
You won’t find them here, with the ‘Godly Selected.’

The Church needs a building, of ‘what can be had,’
To shelter the flock, from the ‘Seasons of Wrath,’
it’s the heart, not money, keeping us ‘Salvation Clad,’
Praising, God/Jesus, makes us Cleaner, than a ‘Hot Bath.’
